My Story
I studied and practiced astrology in the early 90’s. A few years into astrology readings I realized that in order to evolve into the Uranian/Neptunian/Plutonian initiations of the 21st century, I needed to unfold a non-conceptual awareness to convey an unknown dimension of support to my clients. Guided by my wild spirit, I had no inkling that I was about to launch into 3 strong decades of spiritual practice to open heart/mind consciousness and awaken “unknown” inner dimensions. Astrologically the time was ripe.
During those three decades of non-conceptual, spiritual field work, I certified as a spiritual healer and spiritual healing teacher. For steady employment I certified as an orthopedic/manual bodywork therapist, Chi Nei Tsang and chi gong practitioner. I went on to qualify for my health and wellness life coaching certification. Over time, watching events unfold in my personal life, the community and world culture, I noticed the earth responding to the cosmic dance within and all around me.
Prior to this spiritual odyssey, I was an enthusiastic adventurer in modern and ethnic dance. Modern dance in the 70’s and 80’s was an artistic extension of the human potential movement. It was my ecstatic growth period, inspired by West African and Middle Eastern dance, Japanese Butoh, Jazz fusion, cellular and elemental movement. I studied and grew into a hatha yoga practice. I taught yoga, breathwork, fitness and many forms of dance to adults and youth for over 20 years. For 12 of those years I was a professor in the kinesiology department of the local Community College nurturing the accredited yoga curriculum. Flowing from one movement practice to another, I certified as a dance meditation teacher which paved the way for my sublime spiritual journey.
As an astrologer, teacher, and coach, I encourage clients to notice the jewels nestled within, illuminated by spirit.
In my spare time I play with paint and color to express inner non-verbal energies.
I bring the totality of my embodied experience to astrology consultations and coaching sessions. I work 1 to 1 with clients. Wisdom transmission is from heart to heart. Most of my sessions take place on the computer with zoom. Through the underlying breath of conversation we collaborate to unfold fields of awareness in dimensions of possibility to recognize untapped resources. The aim is to liberate the entangled precious energy needed in this time of individual, global and celestial transformation.
About Circle of Breath
Circle of Breath is a simple awareness and direct conscious connection with the most sublime source and that source radiance into our daily lives.
Innate truth is expressed through the cadence of breath (or vibration) in all fields. This includes bodies, organisms, organs, tissues, cells, microscopic entities, morphic fields and energies in all levels of existence, seen and unseen .
This process came alive in my life after decades of embodied meditation practices, engagement with spiritual teachers in spiritual communities, study, work, play, effort and letting go.
“The price of this kiss is your life.” -Rumi
In 2005 I was working in a spiritual community. After 7 years of bliss, the honeymoon was over. I noticed the submerged shadows rising. If you have been on a spiritual path for a while you may have experienced something like this. Some people call it the dark night of the soul, but it is not a night, it’s years. At one point my respiratory system was chronically inflamed by the daily dust of late summer. Feverish, in a liminal state, I had a dream/vision/connection with angelic realms. My throat was swollen and every breath was scrapingly painful. Something, no thing, an intelligent light came into my awareness and gently showed me that in the depths of my being everything was ok. Underneath the struggle I felt a calm, clear, dark blue expansive nothingness at the source of my breath. I completlely surrendered. There was a depth of peace beyond anything I’d ever experienced. This all happened in slow expanded time. Some radiance was breathing me. It felt like an angel. It was a luminance. Here is where the spiritual iconography and quantum possibility meet. It was both and beyond any explanation. No words transpired. I could sense that my spiritual teacher was present. I let go of my rational surveillance and relaxed into that source, a softness I’ve never forgotten. I wanted to stay there, live there. I rested for a long while. When the streaming daylight became too bright to keep my eyes closed I got up slowly for an afternoon of work and an evening of spiritual retreat. Through the pain now I could feel the ground of my being gently and smoothly being breathed. I experienced layers upon layers of breath which would continue to “open” in the next 2 decades.
Soon after that, the name “Circle of Breath” breathed into me. The “process” matured over time. It is the basis of my astrology consultations and my coaching practice.
